Was really bummed when the 27th Street location closed so when I heard that a new Butch's opened in Stallis, I just had to try it out. Got there a little after 7 on a Friday night and they had a few tables open. Definitely a nicer bar then the previous location. The tables and chairs could still use a little updating. Table was a bit wobbly. Ordered the 8oz steak sandwich and it was fabulous!!!! Just as I had remembered it. Is it a bit pricey? Yes, but the steak is soooooo good and tender. The steak is topped with mushrooms and Comes with a side of fries and coleslaw. The coleslaw has a small amount of horseradish in it. Definitely not too much though. Love that the coleslaw wasn't your typical side. The service was great! Friendly waitresses. They still offer their $5 martinis for happy hour and have a great selection. Hope this location works out for them because I will definitely be back.

I was kind of disappointed... I have been to their other restaurant out in Oconomowoc and really liked it. So, I figured their pub and eatery would be pretty good. I knew it wouldn't be as nice. But, overall, I was not very impressed. I guess their menu offerings (and pricing) did not match the decor on the inside. This place is older. It's definitely just more of a bar. But then they have $12 sandwiches and $25 fish specialties. It's just not normal prices for more of a dive bar. With that being said, my burger was tasty. And we got about 15 fries with our burgers. In general, the food did taste good. But I just feel like this deserves an "I've experiences better" rating. And, if I wanted a $25 seafood dish, I would definitely go to a place where it is a nicer restaurant. Wait staff was friendly.

Was sad when the 27th Street location closed. I visited the new location, it is much like the old one; same decor, same paper menu. Except that Butch offers a few daily specials that he cooks from scratch at this location that he didn't at the 27th location. The specials are fantastic. Same great filets here. Although, I noticed that he raised the prices by a bucks. Not a fan of this at all. Part of the reason that I liked his casual pubs is the cheap, awesome eats. I hope that Butch reconsiders his pricing. Now, in response to the reviews of the decor. You come here for the food, not the decor. The name says it all: "PUB and eatery" and not a fine dining establishment. If you are overly concerned with the decor here, then you aren't paying attention to your food or your company. Mo's House of Steaks might be a better choice for you then... The service at any Butch's is fantastic. Great bunch of people here. They make a superior martini, too.

Must say the Panko Shrimp are AWESOME! Butterflied, large, crispy, hot yumminess! However, our recent trip my husband had a filet, although it was cooked exactly as ordered (medium rare), the piece of meat was just not enjoyable. The fish fry is rather tasty too. Drinks... They are well made and quickly made!

got a steak sandwich told then NO mushrooms I'm allergic, comes out with mushrooms, fine I remind them I said no mushrooms I'm allergic. They bring out a seemingly fine sandwich, I guess they either scraped off the mushrooms or reused the bread, because my face started to get numb and a little swollen, itchy throat and some breathing issues, thankfully I live 3 houses down the street so I had medication to take care of it. But o had to ask for the sandwich to be taken off. The service was slow and they seem to only pay attention to the people at the bar. $8.95 for some frozen motz sticks, for that price I don't expect prepackaged frozen food. Also my soda came in a can, there's a full service bar you can't give it from the soda gun? The only good thing is now that its not Stephen's its nicer and doesn't have a funky smell, and that's where the good ends. Will NOT be back, will NOT recommend.

I gave it a whirl since it's in my neighborhood. The menu was very limited... burgers, steak sandwiches, and fish fry mostly. Nothing fancy... so no rodeo western peppercorn jalapeno burgers or anything like that, just standard burgers. Prices were a little high for what it is. I got the cheeseburger with mushrooms (swiss). Came out of the kitchen quick... good meat, nice tender mushrooms, cooked to perfection. I ordered medium and it was spot on... nice pink middle with no red. Everything they might not be as far as a fancy menu is more than made up for with executing perfectly. For being a place that hasn't been open long, I was really impressed at how well the staff was humming... they really hustled to take care of everyone from start to finishl. There is a jukebox, but the volume was nice and low so you could actually have a conversation. Crowd was mostly locals and mostly a bit older (50+). There was a nice big TV at the bar to watch basketball with several other TV's in the dining area. In all, it's not the sort of joint you would want to go across town for a special meal, but it's a great neighborhood bar with good food.
